The Windy shipyard has long been celebrated for crafting some of the finest sports cruisers on the market, and the Windy 44 Chinook is a prime example. This model excels in handling, performance, and seakeeping, establishing itself as a class leader.

“FINO,” a Windy 44 Chinook, has been owned by a single, discerning owner since its inception and was built at the esteemed Windy Boats shipyard in Arendal, Norway. It was the first to feature the enhanced Eidsgaard-designed interior, elevating the yacht’s luxurious appeal.

Equipped with twin Volvo D6-370 diesel engines with outdrives, “FINO” provides an exceptional driving experience. These engines offer superior trim control, enhancing sporty handling across varied conditions compared to IPS installations. Maneuvering in the marina is facilitated by the twin engines, along with a bow thruster and stern thruster.

A standout feature of the Windy 44 Chinook is its generous accommodation. It is one of the few yachts in its class to offer three comfortable cabins: twin guest cabins amidships and a lavish owner’s suite forward.

The cockpit is expansive, featuring a sleek hardtop and an extended sunroof. The U-shaped seating area is perfect for entertaining and is complemented by a well-equipped wet bar, fridge, and electric grill. The cockpit upholstery has been upgraded to Niroxx marine suede, and the teak decking is accented with elegant black caulking.

This year, “FINO” has undergone extensive servicing, including maintenance of both engines, generator, outdrives, and all mechanical components. This service included cleaning and overhauling all heat exchangers, renewing the drive shaft legs, and addressing other necessary items. Additionally, the yacht has received new antifouling, an overhaul of all Sika joints on the windscreen and topsides, a full polish, new concealed LED lighting in both heads, new dimmable cockpit lighting, and LED navigation lights. Furthermore, “FINO” has been fitted with a full set of new, high-quality, custom-made canopies in Sunbrella material with Stratoglass windows, along with a complete set of matching ‘mesh’ sun screens for all areas.
